Dr. John S. Olmsted is originally from Iowa City, Iowa.  He has a B.S. Degree and a D.D.S. Degree from the University of Iowa.  Dr. Olmsted earned his M.S. Degree in Endodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he presently serves as a Clinical Professor. He has published several articles and lectures frequently.  Dr. Olmsted is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, is Past-President of the American Association of Endodontists, and is Past-Chairmanperson of the Annual Session of the American Dental Association.  He and his wife Frankie have a son Matthew, a four year varsity swimmer graduate from Duke, earning his D.D.S. and then M.S. in Orthodontics from UNC-Chapel Hill; and a daughter Courtney, a biomedical engineer graduate from Duke, earning her MD from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and now in surgery residency at the University of Iowa.
